This amplifier works great, gives enough volume that I can carry on normal conversations even though I wear hearing aids because of high frequency hearing loss.
If there is a downside, and it's a small one, it's that the cord could be longer but they're cheap to by anywhere. After half a day I can already recommend this for anyone with hearing problems.
This has been frustrating for some time now. When I saw this product I was a bit nervous about ordering it because of some the bad feedback.
I wear hearing aids behind my ears, so holding the phone up to my ear gives me no amplification. The boost button has not been needed yet.
But it hooked up in less than a minute and worked perfectly at once. It is easily adjustable and gives no feedback or unwanted noise.
Yes, it won't work if the buttons are in the receiver and that should be explained in the description. This gets a 10 out of 10 rating
I bought this amplifier for my Grandmother, who is very hard of hearing. The amplifier is very loud, and the ability to change the tone works wonders. Prior to this device, my Grandmother was unable to talk on the phone at all. Now she is able to hear and talk to out of town family and friends with ease. Even better, my Grandmother is able to use it with her hearing aids without any interferance. I give this device 5 stars.
This was not made known that you need phone that does not have buttons to dial out on receiver. So I am unable to use it until i can buy a new phone
Until I purchase a new phone with the key pad located in the base rather than in the handset, I will not be able to test this item.Unfortunately this is not noted in the description of the item. One has to carefully read the package instructions to determine why the amplifier does not work on a phone with the key pad in the handset.
